A major in nursing, gives the required training to students willing to become nurses. Some of them are – A four year nursing degree from a reputed college, generally referred to as BSN (Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing). These kind of diplomas are losing audience now-a-days. After gaining the basic degree to enter the nursing world, a nurse can specialize in a chosen area of interest by undertaking a Master’s Degree or by undergoing some specialized trainings which will add to their knowledge and pave a way for growth in their profession.
All the courses and trainings related to nursing involve a lot of hands on experience. As a part of the courses and training, they are exposed to real world and they gain a lot of experience by visiting hospitals, medical facilities, clinics and also get a chance to work with social service providing organizations.
